It’s been a great week for gigs – not as good as it could have been before Bjork pulled out of the Big Day Out, of course, but I shouldn’t be complaining when I’ve been able to catch fantastic sets by The National/Clogs (x2), Mice Parade, Spoon, Battles, Arcade Fire and LCD Soundsystem.

Anyway, do you know Menomena? You now have no excuse if you don’t, as Last.fm now have their whole albums up for streaming! Go listen: I highly recommend Friend and Foe.

Pitchfork just did an interview with Yeasayer. I’m mainly mentioning this because if you still haven’t heard Yeasayer, you probably didn’t read it – and I’m using this to remind you that it’s time to get on the train.

I discovered these guys around the time that their debut All Hour Cymbals came out and it’s quickly become one of my favourite albums of 2007. Check it out.
