Extremely grateful to Adam Lewis and Dom Alessio who brought back their famous music trivia format after a year away, to raise funds for SydneyMusic.net. Their music trivia is basically responsible for Caitlin and I getting together, and has been an important part of our corner of the community over the years.
Having their classic trivia brought to life with such an amazing cross-section of Sydney's broader music community was really special - and the money raised immediately helped make the immediate term of the organisation's future a little easier to manage. We have some more good news, stay tuned...
Getting lots of super wonderful offers to hold fundraisers etc for the project, we're keen but also want it to be a good use of everyone's time, super representative of the scene as a whole, not boosting particular scenes over others etc etc. We'll keep trying to figure it out!

Super fun night. Arrived "fresh" in Sydney after a 21 hour ordeal travelling from Busselton, WA to Sydney after spending 5 weeks away living with my kids while they finish school. The trip back should have been a 4 hour flight. Instead it was 21 hours via a four hour bus to Perth, a quick stop in Northbridge for some Malaysian food, a redeye to Brisbane, 14 hours of waiting in airports, no sleep, two hours to shower, straight to the office!
Amazing performances from Bad Hoax and Stocker. Caitlin had been revving up Bad Hoax to me for months, then we put a track on our August edition of the SydneyMusic Supporter Mixtape. Bria of Stocker was in town for the launch of Max Thomas and Oscar Hoare's new venture Reason Why Management and Max asked if we could fit another act on the bill - think it came out as a brilliant night! Stocker and Bad Hoax also DJ'd and Caitlin snuck 20 minutes of Secret Breakfast before close at midnight.
I'm completely out of film so no photos from tonight from me. Hopefully some surface.
